Synthetic Grass Safety Surfacing:
Synthetic grass has become very popular in the last ten years as an all weather safety surface for children’s playgrounds. As a safety surface the synthetic grass is installed over an impact matting underlay, offering Critical Fall Height properties from 1.5m to 2.93m.
SSP PROPLAY Safety Surface Systems offer clean, safe and durable play areas for children. SSP PROPLAY is a recycled closed cell polyethylene foam product that will not rot or degrade, and acts as an excellent drainage medium, allowing for its use under trees and on slopes. It is the ultimate shock absorber that will retain its ability to absorb shock over many years.
SSP will install your safety surface for you, or you can purchase the materials and instructions from us, for DIY installation.

SSP Ltd also installs wetpour safety surfacing and supplies rubber play tiles for playgrounds.
All SSP Safety Surface Systems have been tested to the requirements of BS7188:1989 Methods of est for impact absorbing playground surfaces, and in accordance with European Standard NEN-EN 1177 (1997) and BS EN 1177 (1998).
All SSP installations meet the minimum standards required under BS5696: Part 3: 1979 Play equipment intended for permanent installation outdoors - Code of Practice for installation and maintenance and in accordance with BS EN 1176-7:1007.
Synthetic Grass Cleaning:
SSP Ltd has become an experienced synthetic grass cleaning and rejuvenation company being one of the first companies in the UK to recognise the need for surface maintenance. SSP now supports a large client base amongst schools, local authorities, private court owners and clubs.
Filled synthetic grass needs regular cleaning and maintenance to avoid sand compaction and contamination. Moss and algal spores form‘algal squidge’ and the resultant dark green slime on the surface is very slippery and dangerous. Flooding, slow drainage, irregular ball speed and bounce bring complaints from users.
An obligation free inspection is carried out and skilled operatives are available to carry out professional rejuvenation procedures appropriate to the condition of the surface and the budget of the client.
