Fabrics British Blind Company offers the discerning customer a wide choice of fabrics and weaves in a wide range of colours and textures. Fabric types range from solar / heat reflective, blackout, semi opaque, semi translucent, crush, voile, jacquard and metalised.

Awnings and canopies There are many awning types on the market today to suit all types of exterior shading requirements, and many systems to accommodate most applications and fitting requirements. Some of the awning types available are as follows: Dutch blinds - encompass all the radiuses or ¼ circular blinds), can be working or fixed. Folding arm - This type of awning is ideally suited for use over patio and French doors, patio areas etc. Folding arm awnings come into their own where there is a requirement for an awning with a large projection. Projections of up to 4.5 metres are available (subject to width), the most commonly specified projections being between 1.5mtrs to 2.5mtrs. Drop arm - a form of roller awning. The two main variants are the fixed arm (where the pivot point of the arm is fastened to a fixed point on the wall), or the sliding arm, (where the arm is mounted into a slide channel and can be moved up and down). This allows the blind to have a larger projection than a fixed arm without the equivalent loss of headway. Blinds and screens We supply a wide range of beautiful window blinds to suit most domestic and commercial applications. Our products include; Vertical Blinds, Roman Blinds, Venetian Blinds, Timber blinds, Pinoleum Blinds, Roller Blinds, Blackout Blinds, Pleated Blinds and Panel Blinds. All of our blinds are ‘Made to Measure’ to suit your requirements exactly. You can either visit us in Dorking with your own measurements, or we can take the measurements for you and allow you to make your selection in the comfort of your own home.

Fabrics We can supply fabrics from most of the leading suppliers in a wide range of styles, colours, patterns and textures. If we don’t have anything that takes your fancy we can even make the blinds in your own fabric.

Blind types We can also supply specialist products for most shading applications. For example; shaped blinds to fit even the most peculiar window, blinds that can work ‘bottom up’, and external window blinds and fixed louvres

Physical security We supply and install Security Shutters, (aluminium and steel slat), Roller Shutter Garage Doors, Slide Aside Trellis gates and Removable Window Bars for both domestic and commercial applications. All of our security products are of a high standard and have undergone rigorous testing to assure you the best possible barrier against intruders. Some of our products are even insurance approved and carry the Secured by Design logo, which means that they are Police preferred and approved products, ensuring you maximum resistance to criminal attack. Shutters We can supply Security Shutters for many applications, from light domestic use to heavy commercial. We can even supply a foam filled aluminium slat which can be used for sound and heat insulation. Shutters come in white and brown as standard, but can be powder coated to any RAL colour. Link

Gates Retractable Security Gates combine a classic appearance with the highest level of protection, ideal for your home or workplace. Designed to keep intruders out while letting maximum light in, they are perfect for patio doors and French windows and any other vulnerable ground floor doors or windows. When not in use these retractable gates are surprisingly unobtrusive. Fitted to the door or window surround, they can disappear neatly behind curtains and a pelmet can conceal the top track. Link
