Aridair portable climate control units provide an ideal solution whenever heat is needed, for both temporary and permanent installations.

The control permutations allow for the rapid achievement of optimum temperatures, or the more controlled drying needed in some restoration processes.

Applications include:

  • Emergency heating
  • Pest & vermin eradication
  • Fire and flood restoration
  • Drying and water damage control
  • Drying for agricultural and food processes
  • Heating temporary buildings and marquees
  • Heating for major incident casualty and triage areas
  • Specialised heating for roads, railways, bridges and tunnels Construction industry heating EG for excavations and building sites

The heart of the Aridair portable climate control system is phoebus. This contains the heat source (the boiler), control equipment and the helios portable heating units, with storage space for pipes, manifolds etc.

Phoebus can easily be towed by most vehicles and is light enough to manhandle on flat surfaces. Phoebus is parked outside wherever hot dry air is needed and pipes led into the building. As the heating takes place as far away as 500 metres, there's no direct flame contact or risk of fire or fumes inside the building.

The boiler is normally fuelled by gas oil, although we can customize the system to run on biodiesel, propane or natural gas. We offer a range of boiler sizes up to 310 kilowatts (over a million BTUs).

Hot dry air is pumped into the building through a system of hoses. The unit can also inject air directly into an existing air-conditioning or heating plenum.

Inside the building, our specially developed helios portable heating units distribute hot air wherever it's needed.

Phoebus is suitable for a wide range of applications and is simple to operate. It's equipped with the latest safety technology, which will shut down the system in the event of an emergency.

We also offer ARMS, the optional Aridair remote management system, which monitors the environment, automatically controls climate parameters and reports back via the Internet, mobile or landline. This means you can look at events in real time anywhere in the world. Any alarms or vital warnings will immediately be sent by text to all relevant personnel.
