Do you need a machine, production line, electrics or even a boat hull cleaned?

If you need years' worth of oil and dirt, dust and paint, chewing gum or even barnacles and antifoul completely removed quickly and efficiently without damaging the material underneath - you've come to the right place.
Whatever your needs, we are happy to discuss with you how we can help. We are constantly discovering new applications for our truely revolutionary cleaning process.

ICE Clean Engineering utilises a brand new, highly versatile dry ice blast process (CO2) for many cleaning applications.

As the name might suggest, dry ice blasting is a completely dry process whereby highly pressurised CO2 vapourises immediately on surface contact.

Unlike some other cleaning processes, dry ice blasting is completely non-toxic and no hazardous chemicals are used. It's very environmentally friendly as there are no waste products other than the intended material being removed.

Dry ice blasting is non-abrasive and all surfaces are treated very gently. The concept is actually quite simple - it freezes the top layer of dirt or paint and it flakes off. Wear and tear resulting from the use of steel brushes, grinding equipment and scrapers is therefore avoided.

Companies wanting to clean their production lines can now have their machines cleaned in-situ without the costly need to dismantle and depending on circumstances, sometimes the process can even be executed whilst in operation resulting in substantial reductions in the downtime.

The combination of extremely high cleaning speeds using a wide range of nozzles and pressures means that even normally inaccessible parts can be rapidly cleaned. No blasting materials are left on moving parts, chains or drives.

If you are struggling to meet ever-higher production targets because of poor machine reliability and would like some advice on maintenance issues or perhaps a machine or even a boat hull cleaned, contact David at ICE Clean Engineering.

Ice Clean Engineering now based in the Midlands and East Anglia formed in January 2006 to provide a professional cleaning service for companies with industrial machinery nation wide.

With over 25 years of engineering expertise in the blown film plastics industry and machinery design, we can offer a lot more than just a cleaning service. Attention to detail and a great deal of care is taken to ensure our customers get exactly what they want with the very best of results.

We recognise that in a high pressure industrial environment, planned machine maintenance is the key to consistent production efficiencies, and a clean machine makes it quicker and easier to diagnose faults. Downtime costs money.

ICE Clean Engineering offers a revolutionary alternative to traditional methods of cleaning industrial equipment. Dry ice blasting can reduce maintenance downtime by eliminating the need to dismantle, and dispenses with the need for environmentally damaging chemicals and solvents. It does what no other blast process can do, ‘it eliminates all blast cleaning waste’.

With the process being completely dry, it can be used in many applications; from general machinery (complete removal of oil and grease), electric motors and switch gear, surface preparation removing loose paint, rust and contaminates, even anti-foul from boat hulls.

Safety and environmental issues will be addressed with your designated personnel before a project begins.

A CCNSC Safety Passport is held by our operators.

Engineering services

In addition to our revolutionary Dry Ice Blasting process, Ice Clean Engineering also offer Engineering assistance on machine design, installation and maintenance.

CAD design/drafting facilities are available.

Applications

This revolutionary process does what no other blast cleaning process can do – eliminates all blast cleaning waste.

It simply sublimates into the atmosphere.

We are constantly discovering new uses for our process. Dry Ice Blasting is fast, safe and can save you money whatever the cleaning task:

  • General Industrial machinery

  • Motor and electrical equipment
  • Switchgear
  • Plastics - casting, moulding and blown film equipment
  • Printing presses
  • Food grade areas
  • Marine – Anti-foul removal from GRP boat hulls
