'Leave-in-Place' FORMWORK SYSTEMS
In 1983, Permaban introduced the concrete screed rail into the flooring market, it has proven to be the simplest and most economic formwork method for constructing floor slabs and has been uniquely successful in the construction of ‘Superflat’ floors. Several advances have been made in the design of these rails and Permaban lead the industry in formwork development.
|
PERMASTEEL
The Permasteel screed rail has advanced the ‘Leave-in-Place’ concept for ground bearing, suspended floor slabs, Metal Deck and Pre-Cast Plank. The design of the rail provides an enhanced load transfer capability over that of relying on ‘aggregate interlock’ alone. |

STRIPJOINT
For contractors who prefer to use timber formwork, the benefits of AlphaJoint can be provided by StripJoint which incorporates the 2 x 10mm wide by 40mm deep steel strips used in AlphaJoint which are installed by the contractor on their timber formwork. |
|
DOWEL SYSTEMS
Some of the systems available from Permaban are: Plate dowels including Diamond Dowels in 6mm and 10mm thick, Gamma Dowel in 8mm thick and Alpha Dowel in 10mm thick.
Plate dowels are a more efficient method of providing load transfer compared to round dowels. Permasleeve square dowel bar systems incorporate the Permasleeve dowel sleeve which allows two-way horizontal movement. Tri-Plate trapezoidal plate dowels are designed for sawn free contraction joints and their unique design allows greater flexibility on the saw-cut position compared to traditional dowels. |

These floors have a long and successful track record continuing to give trouble-free service after more than 20 years, even in the most demanding environments.
Concrete Curing & Joint Sealants
PERMASEAL
Permaseal is a clear acrylic resin polymer solution, which impregnates concrete surfaces to combine all the benefits of curing, hardening and sealing in one surface treatment. Permaseal cures, seals, dust-proofs and hardens in a single rapid spray application. It is quick drying and can be applied shortly after finishing new concrete thus saving on the cost of polythere, or other curing agents. Permaseal enables straightforward removal of construction splashes and easier cleaning prior to client handover. Permaseals’ ease of use saves considerably in labour costs compared to silicate systems and technically out-performs them every time. It can be applied to mature concrete, even coloured floors and works as an anti-carbonating coating which will accept future re-applications. |

PENTRA-SIL
Pentra-Sil reacts with free calcium compounds in concrete forming complex, insoluble silicate structures which harden the surface of the floor slab and prevent moisture permeating the finished floor. A low alkalinity and lower viscosity slow the chemical reaction between Pentra-Sil and calcium components in concrete to create deeper and more complete penetration. Pentra-Sil uses newly developed surfactant chemistry to deliver lithium components into the substrate. This sophisticated chemical technology makes Pentra-Sil superior to older surface sealing products which have been marketed for decades with few improvements.

PERMATHANE
Permathane is a single pack, moisture-cured, urethane coating. It is a heavy-duty coating and surface impregnator which penetrates deep into the concrete matrixto reinforce floors that exhibit dusting or surface degradation. This product produces an extremely tough and chemically resistant finish.

PERMAFLEX 'C' CONCRETE CRACK & JOINT REPAIR RESIN MORTAR
The mortar has been designed for the repair of existing concrete floor expansion joints, joint nosings and very badly spalled arrises and joints. It can also be used as a resin mortar for concrete and crack repairs. The cured mortar is exceptionally strong with a modest degree of elasticity and has a fast setting time. |

PERMAFLEX JOINT SEALANTS
Permaflex is a range of 2-part, catalyst-cured, self-levelling sealants for load bearing saw cut or preformed control joints; which require a higher degree of joint arris protection from the impact of wheeled traffic that can be provided by traditional jointing sealants. Permaflex is designed to provide penetration into joints as narrow as 2-3mm wide and is available in two degrees of hardness and flexibility. It is generally accepted, when employing modern flooring construction techniques, that a narrow 3mm joint will provide superior performance when compared to a wide joint. Conventional jointing materials are not recommended for joints under 6mm. |
|
PERMAJOINT
The PermaJoint profile is designed to fill shrinkage saw-cut joints in industrial and commercial flooring immediately after the cutting process, this is to ensure protection for the joint edges and prevent expensive joint damage. The benefits of PermaJoint are that it is practically invisible, it is hard-wearing, protective over joint edges and can tolerate up to 2mm of joint opening from the concrete shrinking.
