A bit of history

T.B. Davies (Cardiff) Ltd was formed in 1945, by the Grandfather of our current MD and we are delighted to be celebrating over 62 years in business.

We have an impressive pedigree - now in our fourth generation, the family business is probably the most experienced in the access industry. From small beginnings after the War, the company has grown into one of the most respected and largest independent distributors of access equipment in the UK. We hold extensive stocks at our National Distribution Centre to service our customers from a broad spectrum of industries.

We supply industrial equipment catalogues, tool merchants, traditional retailers, local authorities and blue-chip commercial end-users, as well as the avid DIYer and tradesman.

In recent years we have expanded the manufacturing side of the business and established a manufacturing division, producing bespoke fabrications for the likes of Hoyer, Rolls Royce, Tate&Lyle,Sir Robert McAlpine and the MOD amongst others. We also produce steel mobile steps for warehousing purposes.

T.B. Davies owns the brand names and Trade Marks for KIK-STEP™ and STEPMOBILE™, as well as the newly launched Horizon™ , Summit™ & Pinnacle™ range of products.

Furthermore, we are very proud to have introduced the Little Giant Ladder System and the Xtend & Climb telescopic ladder to the UK as the official importer. The success of these products demonstrates our dedication to innovation and quality.

We are an ISO registered company 9001:2000 and are constantly striving for excellence in customer service and support.

As members of the Ladder Association we are consulted by organisations such as the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) to support their best practice campaigns and offer industry advice when formulating new legislation, such as the Working at Height Regulations 2005
