Access Control

For simple access requirements we offer some of the most cost effective solutions on the market today. For more complex requirements, advanced software applications can provide multi-door, multi-site solutions, networking premises throughout the country and providing powerful management information on usage, movement and activity. With careful planning and implementation IQ Security's access control systems can incorporate time and attendance facilities for payroll as well as integration with fire alarms, etc., to unlock doors on escape routes and to provide muster reports to account for all staff in buildings, etc., in the event of emergencies.

Automated Doors

We have a number of door entry solutions which will assist you to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) legislation. From the intelligent automation of single leaf doors, through micro-processor controlled drives for bi-parting doors, curved sliding doors, or revolving doors for purpose built application, IQ Security can plan, specify, design and install your automatic door requirements in accordance with the latest safety standards to provide years of low maintenance easy access.

CCTV

Whether for general or covert observation for businesses, retail areas, car parks, shopping centres, railway stations, storage compounds, industrial plants, town centres or domestic residences, we have the experience to assist with the most appropriate design.
From a single camera, to complex computer controlled installations incorporating detailed graphics and system integration, from single monitors to systems capable of being monitored remotely internationally via advanced transmission methods, we have the experience.
All systems we supply are fully compliant with BS8418 which is a new code of practice covering the installation and remote monitoring of detector activated CCTV systems. ACPO (the Association of Chief Police Officers) has announced that it is to use BS8418 as a requirement for CCTV systems which are used to elicit a first response from the police. Essentially, if you want the police to respond to incidents detected and verified by a CCTV system, it will have to meet the new CCTV standard.

Gates & Barriers

It is often necessary to control vehicular and pedestrian access to sensitive or secure areas and this can be achieved in a number of different ways including:

  • Retractable bollards
  • Turnstiles

Whatever form of gate or barrier is involved we are able to integrate the operation into compatible Access Control Systems involving card, code or proximity entry, CCTV, intercoms, electronic tags, ground sensors etc.

Our remote Alarm Receiving Centres complete the service providing 24 hour, 365 days a year monitoring, not only for alarm and fault signals, but also to include sequential, audio or visual verification of events. This ensures a prompt response by police, keyholders or service engineers, etc.

Time & Attendance

Time and Attendance is the perfect management information tool, you are able to compile and retrieve employee data at the touch of a key. You can pre-plan for absenteeism and holidays all within the Time and Attendance environment.

The clockcard is replaced by an ID badge. This badge can be used universally for many transactions: (Vending, Access Control, Work Booking, etc.). Badges can be supplied encoded either with magnetic strip, smart card or proximity technology.
The badges are credit card size so they fit comfortably in to a wallet or purse, alternatively they can be worn clipped to the person thus doubling as an ID card.

Data is collected real time and is instantly accessible from a central location. Providing up to the minute information that enables rapid response to situations as they arise. People managers can see on screen employees who have not arrived for work or, in the event of an emergency, a list of all employees who are on site can be produced quickly at any time of the day or night.
