Exhausts fume problems?

Vehicle exhaust fumes contain over 40 different substances that are listed as air pollutants. Exhaust fumes are not always visible. The common perception of modern engines is that these have been removed; the true picture is that they have simply been made smaller so that they cannot be seen. These smaller particles are now being linked to the increase in the number of people with respiratory diseases as they by pass the natural filters in our noses.
