The only dedicated UK event of its kind, MAINTEC has acted as a launch pad for technical innovation and a valuable networking opportunity for industry professionals for more than three decades.
And now, in its 33rd year, the March 11-13 show is expected to set new records both in terms of visitor numbers and expert exhibitors.
As well as around 170 stands – showcasing an array of groundbreaking innovations from the latest thermal imaging cameras and hazard monitoring systems, to bulk solid measurement sensors and germ-busting floor coverings – there’s a packed programme of learnShop seminars and a briefing lunch presented by PICME entitled ‘Improving Plant Productivity & Performance’.
Encompassing the manufacturing and process industries, as well as the public sector and plant and asset management organisations, the show is the ideal forum for companies and industry professionals involved in maintenance management, predictive maintenance and CMMS, health and safety and property management.
The 2007 show attracted more than 2,000 highly qualified engineering decision makers representing key industry players…and this year promises to be even bigger!
Not only will it be co-located for the first time with easyFairs® SOLIDS 2008 – the UK’s main event for companies involved in the solids processing, handling and storage – but it will also feature a new Industrial Environment Forum catering for the growing number of professionals tasked with reducing the environmental impact of the operations and facilities they manage.
“Bringing these events together will provide an integrated networking and exhibition platform for senior and operational decision makers with a broader remit, and ensures that MAINTEC exhibitors will reach a much broader cross-section of relevant professionals,” says Peter Heath, managing director of easyFairs UK Ltd, Europe’s leading organiser of time and cost-effective trade shows.
“Our aim is to make it simple for busy professionals to do business in a focused environment, with added value for visitors through learning and networking opportunities.”
Lunch and learn
A brand new feature for easyFairs® MAINTEC 2008 is a Briefing Lunch, presented by the Process Industries Centre for Manufacturing Excellence (PICME) on ‘Improving Plant Productivity & Performance’.
Scheduled for Tuesday 11th March (12.30pm to 13.30pm) the briefing will focus on providing practical solutions. PICME (www.picme.org), part funded by the DTI, has been set up specifically to help manufacturers of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics and rubbers improve their competitiveness and efficiency by reducing manufacturing waste and increasing the efficiency of the manufacturing process in the shortest possible time.
And there is also a comprehensive programme of short, practical ‘learnShops’ seminars across all three days of the show, covering key topics including predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, Health & Safety, and Best Practice in maintenance scheduling and execution.
Delivering these seminars will be top speakers from leading industry organisations including the Society of Operations Engineers/Institution of Plant Engineers, the British Compressed Air Society, UK Thermography Association, Society of Diagnostic Engineers and the Health & Safety Executive.
