WorkPoint have announced a new AirBench model to join their existing range of market leading downdraught benches.

AirBench FPT is a self-contained TIG welding station, offering a comfortable seated working position whilst extracting debris and fumes generated during the welding process down through the surface of the bench.

Based on the successful AirBench FPW welding station, AirBench FPT provides users with low, manageable full life costs when compared to extraction arms or alternative systems. Filter costs are low, and no installation is required.

Because fumes are drawn downwards, operators have full unrestricted access to their workpiece allowing precision TIG welding without the need to continuously adjust extraction systems - reducing production defects while ensuring operator safety.

AirBench FPT is available in a single size 1950w x 960d x 840h, with ventilated area being 1260 x 660; surface loads may be up to 150kg. Filtration is via a unique 3 stage system incorporating multiple direction changes and drop-out areas to protect the fine main filter and further reduce full life cost.
