The Adjustable Glass Screen (AGS), from Zapp Canopy Umbrellas, is an amazing Swedish product, which was launched onto the British market in 2006, revolutionising the use of outdoor space for cafés, bars and restaurants.

Since then the AGS has had a makeover and is now electrically powered, which makes varying the height of the glass screen that much easier and received a lot of interest when it was launched at the recent Restaurant Show at Earls Court, London.

The AGS is an ingenious glass screen that can be opened to varying heights to cordon off patio and pavement areas for restaurants and cafés.  Flexibility, division and protection are the key words, as intimacy can be created or indeed larger areas made without cutting out essential light.  Using the AGS, the sun’s rays are maximised and the wind minimized, giving customers a comfortable seated outdoor area whatever the weather.  In addition, when tables spill out onto a busy pavement customers can feel part of the street life but at the same time be protected from the hustle and bustle. 

Zapp's AGS offers shelter without obstructing the view and previously could only be positioned at two different heights.  However, now that the AGS is electrically powered it can now be raised to whatever height is required easily and without strain, which is made possible by the glass counter balanced function.  The AGS is attractive and simple to use with the outer glass fixed and the inner one sliding up and down in within an aluminium frame.
