Portable robust device to detect water contamination in fuel tanks

Guards against potentially expensive equipment failures due to water contamination

The WateReel water in oil level detector is a portable device designed to sense the presence, and measure the level of water which can accumulate in the bottom of storage tanks underneath the fuel oil.

It acts as an early warning device by alerting the operator of the need to perform tank maintenance.

The sensor is lowered into the bottom of the tank and presence of water will immediately initiate a visible alarm indicator.

An inbuilt test facility confirms the function of the entire assembly including cable and probe.

The depth of water contamination can be determined by withdrawing the sensor and measuring the cable to the point at which the alarm ceases.

Operation is simple, a single press of the power button energises the unit for one minute when it will automatically power off to preserve battery life.

A low battery LED will illuminate when the unit is operated in the event that battery replacement is required. The unit uses proprietary batteries which may easily be changed by the operator
