Biosolve Breakdown uses safe bacteria to degrade organic waste that maybe the source of malodour in toilets and washrooms. When activated with water, the micro-organisms in this dilutable liquid produce three key Enzymes that degrade fats, protein and starch and are therefore highly effective in the removal of oils, grease, food & human wastes.
But how do Bacteria based products work?
Bacteria are living cells which are able to consume wastes of different types, reproducing, and actually producing enzymes.
Enzymes are NOT alive. They are complex chemicals produced by bacteria. They cannot reproduce, or actually consume waste. All they can do is speed up chemical reactions without getting used themselves, breaking down complex wastes into simple wastes that can then be consumed by the bacteria- enzymes alone will not do the job. Enzymes can be used to replace harsh conditions and harsh chemicals, thus saving energy and preventing pollution.
It is important to note that bacterially based products take several hours to work., an instant result will not be achieved . The bacteria in the product are present in a very stable spore form, and they must first germinate before they can produce enzymes. The bacteria then grow, and the more bacteria present, the more enzymes they produce the greater the stain removing/cleaning power. From application to first enzyme production takes around 4 hours, with peak enzyme production and stain removal action after about 8 hours. When treating old stains and odours, it is important to remember several applications over a period of days, for maximum biological action, may be necessary to achieve the desired end result
