Zapp has now moved into the Irish marketplace with the appointment of a sole distributor, Irish Village Markets, trading as Zapp Ireland and responsible for selling the whole of the Zapp range of products.  With over twenty five years experience, Zapp’s longevity within the marketplace boasts a reputation that is second to none, which they now bring to Ireland with this exciting new partnership.

Irish Village Markets is the brainchild of Des Vallely.  After 12 years in the IT industry Des decided to change career direction and left IT behind to start an organic farm.  Once up and running Des needed an outlet for his produce and so Irish Village Markets was born, providing local stall holders with a regular Farmers Market at which to sell their produce.  Since its inception 3 years ago the market has gone from strength to strength growing to a family of 5 established market places throughout Southern Ireland. 

The creation of Irish Village Markets brought with it other requirements such as the need for canopies for stall holders, which, fortuitously, brought Rod Turvey of Zapp Canopy Umbrellas and Des Vallely together.  Des was immediately impressed with the quality of all the Zapp product range and found that many councils in Southern Ireland using nothing but Zapp products for their outdoor cover requirements.  This recommendation together with Zapp’s positive personal customer service was all Des needed to make the decision to provide Zapp canopies for his stall holders.  When the opportunity arose to become the sole Irish distributor for Zapp’s products the answer was a definite ‘yes’.
