Wallgate Sanitary Specialists will be taking on even more staff and making further investments to keep up with the demand for vandal resistant toilets.
Wallgate is the leading manufacturer of high quality vandal resistant sanitaryware in local government, prisons, schools and other high risk establishments. The company is best known for its range of hole-in-the-wall handwasher/drier units, which are commonly seen in schools and public toilets.
Wallgate has agreed a £300,000 deal for the supply of new casting machinery, enabling the company to increase capacity by up to 75%. The installation of the new Gruber Economiser Continuous Casting Machine at the company's Crow Lane site in Wiltshire, will enable Wallgate to meet a rapidly expanding customer demand.
Wallgate Managing Director Trevor Powell said today: "We are already ahead of our major competition for the production of highly durable basins, toilets and other such sanitaryware.
"However increasing demand from new customers means that we need to provide an even faster turnaround for our main product lines. That is why we have decided to make this major investment.
"As well as guaranteeing work for twenty employees, this investment will mean better working conditions, a more pleasant production environment and more automated handling. This means that our capacity will increase significantly to meet the growing demand for our products."
Wallgate currently employs 70 staff in Wilton and the company's turnover has trebled, under new management, in the last three years.
